Escape to the English seaside to stunning Brighton in East Sussex. Brighton is an easy day trip from London with regular trains taking roughly 60min. Brighton is very popular during the summer months so expect crowds but plenty of parties and festivals.
1. Brighton Pier
Your penny arcades and carnival rides await for you at the Brighton Pier. You can spend hours playing the arcades, eating carnival food and going on the fairground attractions. This is one of the most famous attractions in Brighton and a great place for an afternoon stroll and for some people watching.
2. Royal Pavilion
The Royal Pavilion is located right in the centre of Brighton and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The Royal Pavilion used to be a seaside palace for King George IV and is open for visitors to view the estate.
3. The Lanes
The Lanes are located on the historic side of Brighton. The lanes are a maze of alleyways and narrow streets with shopping ranging from funky cafes, antique stores and you will even find the Choccywoccydoodah store café to satisfy your chocolate cravings. Bring your wallet because you will be here for hours!
4. Seven Sisters Country Park
The Seven Sisters cliffs are a part of the stunning coastline between Seaford and Eastbourne. The cliffs are made from chalk that formed underneath the sea millions of years ago. If you want a good Instagram shot head towards the coast guard cottages at the park or you can walk along the beach and head up onto the cliffs. Be extremely careful when you get close to the edge!
